Hampi Sri Yantroddhaara Swami
Part - 7
The island of Anegundi near Hampi which is famous in the world as Navavrundavana is the most sacred and the holy place. Knowing the Nine yatis of our Sri Madhwacharya Parampara have selected and desired this sanctum for permanent peace and tranquility. The first brindavana is of our Sri Padmanabhateertharu. Directly took the ashrama by Sri Acharya Madhwaru.A great scholar. Sri Madhwacharyaru fully knew Sri Padmanabhateertharu and made him as his successor to this great Guru Parampara. The poorvashrama name was Sri Shobhanabhattaru resided on the bank of the Godavari. Sri Padmanabhateertharu is the first pontiff who has written commentary to the works of Acharya Madhwaru. So we all call Sri Padmanabhateertharu as the first commentator in other words Adya Teekaakaarau. Wrote the commentary for the famous work Anuvyakhyana of Sri SriMadacharyaru and named for the Teeka as Sanyaaya Ratnavali. The popular Teekaakaara Commentator Sri Jaiteertharu has said with proud and praise that it was very difficult to enter and follow the teachings of Sri Madhwacharya without the help of Sanyaya Ratnavali of Sri Padmanabhateertharu. Our great Sri Teekarayaru has uttered this sentence with gratitude. This clarifies the great knowledge of Sri Padmanabhateertharu.
Sri Padmanabhateertharu has fully attained all the knowledge and Anugraha by Guru Sri Madhwacharyaru, and became:
VidyaSudhambhonidhi to describe in detail our Jaiteertharu has written a shloka in TATVAPRAKASHIKA:
Krupalavaha Syanmayi Nityamesham
And such a great Yati's Krupa, affection and blessings should always be with me. Sri Jaiteertharu has praised in this way. Our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu was Sri Vyasarayaru in the previous janma. In Chandrika Sri Vyasarayaru has praised in the following shloka:
Padmanbhateertharu is perfect and efficient in all the Shaastras and his face is nothing but the glamour of Devi Saraswati. The Dwaita Yatis have all praised Sri Padmanabhateertharu and highly indebted and expressed their gratitude towards this great personality. Thus, it is quite appropriate to mention that Sri Padmanabhateertharu is the prime shishya of our Acharya Madhwaru.
These Yatis of NavaVrundavana are equal to god, as they are on the sacred bank of Tungabhadra that too in one place is said by the author of Sri Harikathamrutasaara Sri JagannathaDasaru:
Nandateertha Matoddhaarakarenipa NavaYatigalige
Bhoosuraru Parama Santoshadali Smarise
Nirdosharanemaadi Abhilaashe Pooraisutiha
Ee Vasundhareyolage Keertiyutaraagi
The whole atmosphere of Anegundi Navavrundavana is quite encouraging to all the Vaishnava - Madhwa pilgrims. It is a punya kshetra. The geographical features are quite soothing and healthy. The abundant mother nature's gift has further enhanced the beauty and the importance of Navavrundavana as a most sacred sanctum siddhi kshetra. In the days of Ramayana Sugreeva has told
That the fruits, crops and the water of Anegundi are quite tasty. The very atmosphere of Navavrundavana will give room to Japa,Tapa, Shanti and Siddhi. The man who so ever he may be completely transformed by physique, heart and mind and become a satvika, a devotee. A patient residing here for a period of 40days will become hail and healthy. The sannidhaana and the siddhi of Sri Maruti is abundant at this sanctum and has proclaimed to the world the Slogan of Sri Acharya Madhwaru:
Sri Hari Sarvottama and Vayu Jeevottama at its highest.
The mere darshana will enhance our punya means we have to ponder ourselves that how sacred
